Dorymyrmex bureni were flying on Sunday, June 30th at dusk in Mobile, AL. Witnessed nuptial flight from a colony in the yard.

So I have a bunch of Pheidole tysoni colonies in my yard. I see they fly in August but exactly what part of August and during what time of the day? I live in Virginia.

There was a small flight of a parasitic Formica today. Quite possibly Formica aserva.

Northern Alberta (Canada) had a big flight of Lasius last night. The smaller ones that prefer slightly drier conditions (not the bigger species that loves soaked logs).
